What to Expect 

The excursion starts at the early morning, when the bus comes to pick you up at your hotel. The
pickup time depends on where you are staying. The bus heads first to Bayahibe, which is about 11/2
hours drive from Punta Cana. The boat to Saona will be waiting for you there (Usually a Catamaran
to go and a Speed Boat to come back). The price of the excursion includes the round-trip
transportation, the professional guide, the catamaran and the speedboat to the Saona Island, the
barbecue and buffet lunch, and the snacks and drinks that you could be willing during the day.
You will spend time on the beach and be free to get around the island, eat, dance, swim and relax,
and also get to a natural swimming pool and observe or take photos with the starfishes.
What you should take is your beach towel, beach clothing, swimsuit, swimming goggles, sunscreen
(very important!) and cash in case you would like to bring some souvenirs from the island.
The excursion lasts one full day, about 11-12 hours (Generally from 7:30am to 6:30pm
approximately). Available everyday.

Overview Saona Island Tour

Visit the capital city of Santo Domingo, and marvel at its architectural, historical and cultural
wonders. Santo Domingo is the oldest continuously inhabited European settlement in the Americas
and the largest city in the Dominican Republic and the entire Caribbean. Santo Domingo is the site of
the first university, cathedral, castle, monastery, and fortress in the New World. The city's Colonial
Zone is considered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
During your tour, you will visit "Los Tres Ojos" (the three eyes caves), the Columbus Alcazar, the
Cathedral of Santa María la Menor (First Cathedral of the New World), the Ozama Fortress. You will
also wander in the Colonial Zone and discover a wonderful panoramic view from the Columbus
Lighthouse and the Presidential Palace.

What to Expect 

Stop At: Santo Domingo Excursion, Santo Domingo Dominican Republic Colonial City Once in Santo Domingo, explore the most popular city attractions, such as Columbus' Lighthouse, the First Cathedral of America, the Columbus square, National Palace, monument of Columbus, and other touristic sites. You will be impressed by Columbus' Lighthouse - a beautiful monument created in 1992 in memory of the end of 500 years of colonization of America, as well as by the National Palace, which is a copy of the United States Capitol. You will spend about 3 hours walking around the Colonial City, so put on comfortable footwear. Duration: 3 hours
Stop At: Los Tres Ojos, Mirador del Este Park, Santo Domingo Este Dominican Republic Enjoy Los Tres Ojos (Three Eyes) - a natural park with three water caves and beautiful rocks. In one of those caves, Jurassic park episodes were shot. The site is currently one of the most visited tourist attractions in the country. You will enjoy exploring the caves and, before continuing our trip, you can use bathroom facilities and a cafeteria to buy a drink.
